The Hotel Series
The Hotel Series by Lola Darling
208 pages total all 3 books
5 star review
I was introduced to Lola through a newsletter subscription. I read her latest book Teach Me and really enjoyed Lola's writing style. When I got the Hotel part 1 and 2 for free from her newsletter I had to download them. This was a great story. The hot billionaire story has been done before but Lola's story took it to a new level.
Lola has a way of writing that has you the reader feeling the passion between the characters while your reading. Her sex scenes are HOT and very detailed, it's like your watching a movie and not reading a book. Lola is an up and coming romance novelist and I can't wait for her to release another romance book.I loved this book, was sad when Dom and Juliet's story was over, I can only hope we get glimpses of them in some of her future novels.
Juliet is a student in the hospitality program in Chicago. She lands an internship at the Rexford hotel in Chicago - her dream job. Her first day she walks into the boardroom and at the other end of the table is her one night stand from the previous night, her new boss! Dominic wants her again and does everything he can to convince her to see him again. The books are full of sex, drama and a little bit of heart ache. Can Juliet stick to her morals and stay away from temptation or will she give in to the man who gave her the best sex of her life? Read The Hotel series and find out.

Feel me Break
Feel me Break by Tara R
65 pages
4 star rating
Tara R asked me to read and write a review on her novella Feel me Break. After reading the first few pages on the look inside feature I decided this was a book I needed to read.
It's a rainy gloomy Saturday afternoon so I decided to curl up with the book and I was hooked immediately. The novella is about Chloe, a teenage girl who is succumb to grief after the death of her brother. She needs to be the strong one and puts on a brave face for everyone so know one knows how she truly is feeling inside. One night while in a daze, Chloe decides she wants to end her life. Standing on the railing and she is desperately waiting for a sign that she should live. That sign turns out to be Nick, a total stranger who stops to see if she needs help. There is an immediate connection between the both of them and Nick starts having romantic feelings that he's never had before. He get's Chloe to safety and leaves her with her friend only for tragedy to hit him.
Fast forward two years and Chloe and Nick meet again, miles away from home. They both get called away, will they meet again? We will have to wait until August when the full length novel of Nick and Chloe's story continues in Watch me Rise. I cannot wait for this full length novel to come out. The first chapter is available at the end of Feel me Break and Tara has left a huge cliff hanger. I can't wait to see how Chloe and Nick's story ends. Will it be a happily ever after or will it end in tragedy I can't wait to find out!
Get your copy of Feel me Break here. It's a great lead up to the full length novel, it's like reading a teaser and having to wait for the full length book to be released. August can't come soon enough.

I signed up for a newsletter chain to be entered into a contest to win a $100 amazon gift card. I didn't win the gift card unfortunately but I got the pleasure of receiving emails from authors who were apart of the contest. This is how I came across the book Teach me by Lola Darling. Lola shared chapter 1 of her new book in her latest newsletter and I was hooked. I downloaded a copy right away and read about 30% of the book in a span of under 3 hours. I didn't want to put the book down.
This book is a love story between 2 people who shouldn't be together. Jack is a poetry professor and Harper is one of his students. It's forbidden love and they both know it. Jack does his best to push Harper away but there's something about her that keeps pulling him in. They both agree to just sex but end up falling for each other. You can feel the passion these 2 characters have for each other in Lola's writing and I'm not just talking about the sex and those scenes are HOT.
I was a little disappointed with the ending and I really hope Lola left it like that so she could continue Jack and Harper's story.Lola Darling is a new must read author for me. I have a few more of her novels on my kindle app to read so check back in a few weeks for more reviews.

Mister O
Mister O by Lauren Blakley 306 pages
5 star review!
This book was super easy to read and I had a hard time putting the book down. I was disappointed when it was finished, not because the ending wasn't good but because Nick and Harper's story was over. I hope we get a little more Nick and Harper with Nick's brother's book, the next book in this standalone series.
Mister O is a standalone romantic comedy that follows some of the same characters as her first romantic comedy Big Rock. It's told in the male POV. If you enjoyed reading Spencer in Big Rock you will love Nick more. Nick is not your typical romance god. He's not a playboy - he actually describes himself as a serial monogamist. He's not full of himself like most of our romance gods. He's good at sex because he know's how to read women's cues on what they like and don't like and he's a very generous lover, always making his woman cum at least 3 times to his single orgasm. To sum it up, he's the perfect man and he's well hung too! Nick has eyes for his best friend, Spencer's little sister, Harper but she's off limits.
Harper is a magician and spends most of her time entertaining children. She's inexperienced with men and doesn't have the slightest clue on how to talk around the opposite sex whom she's attracted too so Harper asks Nick to be her dating tutor after he witnesses the way she blushes and can't get the words out to speak to the man she's interested in. Nick agree's and the start spending more time together. I very much enjoyed reading the male POV in this book, it's great to read what you think is going through a man's mind when he's crushing on you.

Driven Series Cover Reveal
Check out the NEW SEXY COVERS in the Driven Series
by K. Bromberg!
Now is your chance to meet Colton and Rylee!
Driven by Need. Fueled with Desire.
Driven (Book One)
Blurb
From New
York Times Best-Selling Author K. Bromberg comes an unforgettable series about
lust, love, redemption, and healing...
Our paths should never have crossed.
Colton Donavan was arrogant, exuded that bad
boy vibe, and embodied everything I never wanted. And yet all it took was one
night, one hallway, and one stolen kiss for me to know I hated him and desired
him instantly.
My heart was healing. His soul was damaged.
But with one bid, one little boy, and one carnival date, I couldn’t walk away
and he wouldn’t let me in.
This is our story. Our fight. Our perfectly imperfect love.
Fueled With Desire. Crashing Into Love.
Fueled (Book Two)
Blurb
What
happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one
you’ll fight the hardest to keep?
Colton
stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to,
but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died
forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.
Rylee
fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll
ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's
still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am
most definitely the sinner.
How is it
the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has
us fighting so hard to keep?
He steals
my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split
second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually
pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My
heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.
How can I
desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the
deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and
person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so
much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she
needs, so why can't I just let her go?
We are
driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into
love?
Crashing Into Love. Racing Toward Forever.
Crashed (Book Three)
Blurb
When life crashes down around us, how hard are we willing
to fight for the one thing we can’t live without, each other?
Life is
full of moments.
Big
moments.
Little
moments.
And none of them are inconsequential.
Every
single moment prepares you for that one instance that defines your life. You
must overcome all your fears, confront the demons that chase you, and cleanse
the poison that clings to your soul or you risk the chance of losing
everything.
Mine started the minute Rylee fell out of that damn
storage closet. She made me feel. Made me whole when all I thought I could ever
be was incomplete. Became the lifeline I never
knew I needed. Hell yes, she’s worth the
fight…but how do you fight for someone you know you don’t deserve?
Love is
full of ups and downs.
Heart
stopping highs.
Soul
shattering lows.
And none of them are
insignificant.
Love is a racecourse of
unexpected twists and turns that must be negotiated. You have to break down
walls, learn to trust, and heal from your past in order to win. But sometimes
it’s the expected that’s the hardest to hold on to.
Colton has healed and
completed me, stolen my heart, and made me realize our love’s not predictable
nor perfect—it’s bent. And bent’s okay. But when outside factors put our
relationship to the test, what lengths will I have to go to prove to him that
he’s worth the fight?
Whoever said love is patient and love is kind, never met
the two of us. We know our love is worth it—have acknowledged that we were meant
to be—but when our pasts crash into our future, will the repercussions make us
stronger or break us apart?
A chance encounter led to the most important race of his
life...
Raced (Book Four)
Blurb
Colton Donavan lived life in the fast
lane, but it took Rylee Thomas to teach him what racing was all about.
Arrogant
Rogue
Broken
Conceited
Dirty-Talking
Rebel
Egomaniacal
Voodooed
Bent
Reckless
You think
you know me?
Think again.
*Raced is not a complete
re-write of the Driven Trilogy. This companion explores pivotal scenes as well
as some new ones written in Colton Donavan’s point of view that were not
previously published in Driven, Fueled, and Crashed. Hear his thoughts,
experience his inner-turmoil, and laugh with him on his journey as he overcomes
his demons and accepts what it means to love.
This novella is for the devoted readers
of the Driven series. It is recommended that this companion be read after
Driven, Fueled, and Crashed.
Racing toward forever.
Claiming his checkered flag.
Blurb
Rylee and
Colton's ride continues...
One
moment. Six years ago.
The night
she made the world around me so much more than just a blur. Now it's the
catalyst that threatens to tear us apart.
Our
happily was supposed to be ever after. So why do I feel like it's slipping
through my fingers?
How can
one moment, when our world seemed so right, resurface and cause our perfect
life to spiral out of control?
I can't
lose her.
She's my
checkered flag.
About the Author:
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling
author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet,
emotional, a whole lot of sexy and a little bit of real. She likes to write
strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
She’s a mixture of most of her female
characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven,
emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays
daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern
California.
On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her
hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series
(Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced (releasing 1/11/16)), the standalone
Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat (releasing 11/3/15), and a
short story titled UnRaveled. She is currently working on new projects and a
few surprises for her readers.
She loves to hear from her readers so
make sure you check her out on social media.
THANK YOU!

Hardball
Hardball by CD Reiss 200 pages
5 star review! There are no words to
describe how good Hardball is – it’s that good! Just from reading the synopsis
I couldn’t wait to read this book. As soon as teasers came out, including the
first 3 chapter preview, I was hooked. Release day came and I spent the entire
day anxious to get home, dinner made and the kids fed so I can dive into one of
the most anticipated books (in my opinion) of the spring. The book didn’t
disappoint. After 6 hours, a few interruptions to handle mom duties and a few
hours past when I normally go to bed for the night I finished the book and was
ready to start over from the beginning again. The book had some humor in it, a
few baseball metaphors, a little heart ache and a lot of romance. It’s the best book Christine has written so
far and I can’t wait for the next one. The author’s synopsis is below, along
with a few memorable quotes from the book.
““It’s the glove you love.” I smiled at my joke and like a dumbass at the same time. “You’re a poet” “I know it””
Vivian is a librarian at a low income
school community in LA. She is a kind person, always putting the needs of
others before hers and she’s a huge LA Dodgers fan. Dash, a baseball player for
the LA Dodgers, is not your typical jock. He’s intelligent and kind, a
gentleman through and through and not only does he know his way around a ball
field but he knows how to make a woman come. Did I mention he likes to read and
even quotes Shakespeare while trying to woo Vivian? The two meet when the
school Vivian teaches at goes on a field trip to the stadium. She is collecting
signatures of the team on a baseball as a gift for her father, when she reached
Dash’s table for a signature he accused her of setting up the entire fieldtrip
for her own personal gain. Vivian responded to his accusation with a witty
comment “Thank you. If it was too much trouble to sign without an insult, you
shouldn’t have bothered. My dad probably wouldn’t notice it was missing.” and
left him, unknowingly, lusting after her. He can’t stop thinking about her, and
she can’t stop thinking about him.
“I get it. Sometimes I’d like to put a cock
in my mouth”
Author’s Synopsis below
Perfect
ass.
Perfect arms.
Perfect swagger.
They call Dash Wallace the Diamond King.
He’s the hottest commodity in baseball and in the bedroom.
When he runs the bases, every woman’s eyes are glued to his stunning body and a smile that puts the night lights to shame.
I’m no queen. I’m a regular girl with a regular job. I just watch him on TV and from the bleachers, season after season.
Girls like me grab a guy like that one in a million times.
My number just came up, and he is as spectacular in bed as he is on the field.
But there’s not a woman in the world who can distract Dash Wallace from the game. Not for a moment. Not even me.
Until the night I do. And everything changes.

Felony Ever After - a 13 author collaboration
Felony Ever After by Helena Hunting, Debra Anastasia, Nina
Bocci, Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward, Leisa Rayven, Liv Morris, Tijan, JM Darhower,
Belle Aurora, KA Robinson, SM Lumetta, Katherine Stevens
I fell in love with Felony ever After. What a great read
this book was. With 13 contributing authors I wasn’t sure what to expect. This
was my first book read by a group of authors. I was concerned each writers
writing style would stand out like a sore thumb but I was surprised to find
that wasn’t the case. Each author did an amazing job at continuing the story
where the last author left off and the editor did a fantastic job editing this
book. You could see the different writing styles of each author but it was
subtle. One author was all about hearts, flowers and romance, then in the next
breath there was angry sex – not quite fifty shades style but there was mention
of it, almost like mocking it was funny. It was a very easy read from start to
finish. You were sucked in right from the start and it kept your attention to
the very end. This book had me smiling from ear to ear from the beginning to
the end. It had a nice mix of humor, romance and awe moments. I highly
recommend this book if you’re looking for a light romantic comedy.
In the book the 2 main characters tweet in every chapter,
usually the end of the chapter, and the twitter accounts are real. Follow
@VerityPics03 and @TatWhiteKnight after you have finished the book to feel like
you are truly connected with the characters in the book. I'm looking forward to
reading their tweets and secretly hoping we get little teasers from them now
and then.
Author's Synopsis:
Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows
riding in a stolen a cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that
tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on
fire under her skirt.
His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible
to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a
prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as
Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help
but find her truest self when they’re together.
Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will
he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom
their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than
thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy,
wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating
office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a
bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending
coming.
Hot Mess
Hot Mess by Madeline Rosenberg. 239 pages.
I was asked to read a copy of Hot Mess by Madeline Rosenberg
and post a review on my blog. Her synopsis can be found below under my review.
This is a debut novel for Madeline Rosenberg and it's a
young adult romance novel told in the third person. There are 4 main characters
who's thoughts we are switched between each chapter. It was a slow start and I had
a hard time focusing on the book. It's like reading a teenage soap opera. There
are too many characters who's story's we switch between throughout the book
that the minute the story starts to get somewhat interesting that thought ends
and we are moved along to another character which made it difficult to follow. I
was very underwhelmed with this story but that’s likely to do with my age and
being out of touch with what teenagers and adults in their early twenties thought
process is. If you fall in the age group of 16-20 I think you would enjoy this
book, unfortunately I’m over 10 years older than what I would deem the recommended
age group.
I would like to thank Madeline for the opportunity to read
and review her book. If she were to write a book more suited for the 25+ age
group I would be happy to read it.
Author Synopsis:
Anna McCormick seems like a cliché from her basic coffee orders to her
relentless drama; however she is more than meets the eye. Join the journey of
Anna and Trevor Sullivan through the laughs, tears and heartbreak. Meet the
Clairetown crew - each character is more interesting than the next! Warning:
you may not be able to put this book down!
Anna McCormick is every girl after a break up- she is vulnerable and
seeks attention in the wrong places. She is easy to love and hate at the same
time.
Trevor Sullivan is almost too good to be true. He seems like he is
perfect on the surface, but there is much more to him than meets the eye.
Benji Shaw is the "perfect" boy next door. He has a bit of a
hero complex and wants to fix everyone's problems.
Tanya Rosen is the quintessential popular girl- everyone thinks she
has so much confidence but really she is just as insecure as the next
girl.
The book takes an unexpected turn and I think you will be pleasantly
surprised!!!
